Heelflip
Also called heel flip
What it is
The mirror of the kickflip: the board flips 360 degrees along its long axis toward the rider's front side, kicked with the heel. Invented by Rodney Mullen in 1982.

Heelflip
How it works
- Pop an ollie with the front foot angled so the heel hangs off the toe-side edge.
- Kick the foot forward and outward so the heel is the last part to leave the board, spinning it in the heelflip direction.
- Catch the griptape with the front foot and land centered.
