What it is
Grabbing the toe-side rail with the back hand during a backside air — the most iconic grab in skateboarding. Invented by Duane Peters in 1981.

Indy Grab
How it works
- Air backside and reach the back hand to the toe-side rail between the feet.
- Tweak it by pulling the board up and pushing the knees down; release the grab and land centered.
- Note: a true indy only happens turning backside.
